We made another trip to the Botanical Gardens yesterday. I love to be there. The kids don't always appreciate the outing, but once we are there they warm up to the place. One day I'm going to get a great camera so I can capture the beauty of it.

This summer is drawing to a close. I am grateful for the following:
My sister Jodi came for a visit from Australia.
Ricky graduated from high school.
Ricky and Ammon went on a scout high adventure sailing trip.
Bridgette went to Young Woman's camp.
Rick's sister Kellie and her husband Sam and their four girls came for a visit.
The kids and I went to Oklahoma for a few days to see old friends from Texas.
Simon turned six
We had a few parties
We grew lots of cucumbers
Put new plants in the front beds
Did a lot of swimming
Visited the Zoo a few times
Saw three movies with the kids
We visited the City Museum
Took the kids to Ted Drewes custard for the first time
Drove through Joplin
Went to the top of the arch for the first time!
Visited the Botanical Gardens a couple of times
Played with friends
The boys and Rick went to Youth Conference in St Louis
I finished the Pathway Program
We visited "The Loop" and had lunch at Fitz's
Simon ate about 30 burgers this summer

This summer seemed quiet but when I write it down I see there was lots to enjoy
